Kathy is the Best!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for Kathy!!my nails always look Natural
Tanya has been doing my lashes for over a year now everytime I walk out of the salon feeling beautiful. She always does such a nice job and is super tidy and fast. She is an expert at cat eyes, and her lashes last an incredibly long time. I highly recommend her if you are wanting an easy way to highlight your eyes and have a make up free moving
Never write reviews, but I had such a great experience here loved the service they provided me with my gel and mani came out lovely and Tanya is so talented with eyelash extensions she made them look so natural just how I wanted I totally recommend this place ladies !
Tanya does eyelashes so good! I love my eye lash extensions! She applies them so well I hardly start losing them until about the third week! I've been going for about 6 months and have visited 3 times, and on those visits I still have some hair left! Best money spent! In addition she applies them so well, I love how they turn out! It's bitter sweet to post this, because she's my secret weapon but I love her work and she deserves the credit!
LOVE this place! Lynn is my girl for eyelash extensions. I frequently get compliments on my lashes. She does a wonderful job every time and I truly appreciate her work. In comparison to other places I've been, the lashes she uses are nice and full and they last about 4 weeks.
Been coming here for couple months now and recently started doing my eyelash extensions with Tanya she is the BEST hands down! I always get non stop compliments at how good my lashes look and people always think its natural :) (Best Part) Definetly recommend this nail salon for all services nails lashes and waxing! They are amazing!!!!!
My mom has gone to both Tanya and Lin for about two years now and she absolutely loves it. She goes for the $60 and they compliment her smaller eyes. They last her for almost a month (she doesn't wash her face religiously like I do.)
I've been going to Lin and she's amazing. I go for the $70 and $80 and they're great. Better than any other place I've gone to where I've spent almost $200. They last me for about 2-3 wks. It's a very soothing process! And Lin takes her time to assure everything looks perfect!
I thought that I could only get a GREAT deluxe pedicure in New Orleans. Tried a few places here in LA but NOT the same. But Twin Nails does it RIGHT and RIGHTEOUSLY. Each person (this is my third trip here) has done a GREAT job. Judy is transforming my feet out of a callousy dirty split state as I write.... . She is amazing. And they do the salt wrap/rub on the calves too and do it with massage, like they do in the south...
I've had many other services here- threading, eyelashes tinted, etc. all professional and artfully, lovingly done. An added plus is great customers and a lovely group who work here!!
If you're looking for a great nail shop Twin Nails is the place! Great ladies who take care of you from start to finish. They don't rush, instead they take their time with each and every single client. Tina is my go to lady and she is awesome! Definitely 5 stars. Tanya is your go to lady if you want great eyelashes. I have been coming here for years and have always lived in the area.
I love this salon. They're always so sweet and offer mini water bottles. The place is clean and not overly packed with other customers. My gels always last 2-3 weeks and are a reasonably price. I'm VERY picky about my nails and I haven't been disappointed here yet.
I come here to get minx lashes by Tanya. She takes her time which I really appreciate & she gives you her recommendation based on the shape of your eyes. She's super gentle and is pretty flexible with scheduling.
I like mine super subtle & wispy so she used a combination of 7-9 - which adds length to the ends as well.
I also appreciate her sweet and fun personality as well.
Pricing ranges from $60-80 depending on how much she adds.
I definitely recommend her including newbies to the lash extension game!!
I have been coming to Twin Nails for about 2 years now for mani pedi's and lashes. Lynn does a great job with my lashes, and now offers microblading as well. The price for microblading is the lowest I've seen anywhere.
I'm a goth girl who went nuts with the tweezers throughout the years, and had been spending 10-15 minutes per day drawing on my brows, sometimes twice a day! Decided to go with the microblading and am so glad I did!
It takes me almost no time to get ready now, and my brows look so natural, like I actually have brow hairs. I'm very happy with the result. Just kicking myself that I didn't do this sooner!
Just had an acrylic manicure by Lynn and I'm super happy with it! She gets the job done and she does it well too!
Had a lot of colors to choose and she took her time to get my nails just the way I wanted. And for the very reasonable price of $37 ! And above all, Lynn was very friendly and professional.
I'm new to L.A. and tried a few places, expensive and cheap ones, before coming here I didn't find any that did a decent job and were friendly too.
I highly recommend Twin nails, if you want gel or acrylics ask for Lynn (can't speak for the rest of the staff yet).
Twin Nails salon is nearby me so I came with my sister to get a manicure for the holidays. Kim did my nails and they came out very well I was very happy with them there wasn't much conversation between her and I but it wasn't awkward either it was a comfortable silence. She followed the picture I showed her for my design all together for my nails and my sisters I paid 43 which included tip for both nails artist. The reason I give it four stars is because they start speaking there native language and then look at it you it can make one feel very uncomfortable as if they are being talked about.
I love this place all the way. Mani , pedi & lashes! Oh and my wonderful massage from Lynn every now and then. Lynn does my eyebrows, she's the best! Tina takes care of my pedi, that woman handles it and she's funny I have the best Time when I see Tina. Overall this place is awesome! Clean, they are very attentive. Last but not least Tanya does the best lashes in town!! Xoxo
SO glad I found this place!!! So far so good. I've only been going here twice and I honestly love my nails. They last and the ladies are so sweet! However, they will try to get every dollar they can from you, so make sure you know what you want!! Ask them how much everything will cost before getting your nails done. That way there is no miscommunication at the end with prices.
this place is it is SO CHEAP, and of course not forgetting the quality it offers. CHEAP as in really cheap! $43 for a gel mani with french tip and a regular pedi!
They don't offer that much design and color, but it's no biggie- They have the color that I wanted. No complaints about that.
Twin nails has officially become my new go-to mani pedi place!
I reviewed Twin Nails recently, but just went back for a fill with a fun pattern by Kim and decided to get natural mink lashes by Tanya. They are incredible. I have gotten dramatic lashes before and they were great, but these look so real and I can't even feel them. I'm not wearing any eye makeup and won't with these because they really brighten up my eyes. Thank you so much Tanya!!!
For my first ever experience at twin nails I'm glad to say I was very happy with the results! If you go for a full set of acrylic nails ask for kim, she's quick and get the job done! My nails are exactly what I asked for. Next time your in the sunset/silverlake area drop in and ask for kim!
Twin Nails - My wonderful acrylics thank you to kim!!! - Los Angeles, CA, United States
I love Twin Nails! Tina is always very helpful and always does a great job waxing my eyebrows and doing my acrylics. She always makes sure to leave my eyebrows just they way I like them. I highly recommend this place and highly recommend Tina she is a sweet heart and does an amazing job!!
I have never had lash extensions before but they did such a great job! My eyes look great. And I love how they did my nails too. They chitchat a lot while doing the work but it isn't really bothersome unless you're a stickler for that. Everything is clean and well sanitized. There was this one annoying fly in the salon though. Other than that, the results of the service really trumped any minor bumps in the experience.
Went to get eyelash extensions exactly one month ago and they are still on!!! Non have fallen off at all!!! The place was hole in the wall, ppl were unprofessional: made me wait 20 mins although I made appointment. The eyelash lady was talking very loud w everyone in their ugly language so it was not relaxing at all. Regardless off their shitty customer relations the service itself worked!! I paid $60 and eyelashes are still there. Other places charge $80-130 n the lashes last 2 weeks. Recommend this place for eyelashes!
I love the fact that the facilities are clean and professional looking while still providing services at reasonable prices.
I appreciate that they usually have many nail technicians at the shop because I can get my manicure and pedicure done at the same time. Big time saver. :)
I just got off the phone with Tanya. She is amazing. I had to change my appointment until tomorrow and she was very sweet about it, even though she's one of the busiest people on the planet.
Speaking of which, she does the best lashes I've had put on, including ones I've paid far more for...which are most of them. She's also fast, which is a blessing to me, because it's hard for me to sit around, especially with my eyes closed.
Now back to the busy thing...I would like her to get as many clients as she wants. I have a feeling she already has many, many, many. I hope I can still get appointments with her! She's great at everything...brows, bikini wax, you name it.
I actually found her the first time on Yelp, when the person I usually went to wasn't available. So, thank you Yelp. A lot.
The two main reasons I recommend this place for eyelash extensions are:
1) Great price for the quality you get
2) You get great quality work
I thought I'd give lash extensions a try at a salon. I go to Tanya; she is great and pays attention to detail. I always get complements on my eyes when I have the lashes on. (My eyes, not my lashes. Many don't realize I have the extensions on).
Set aside time when you go; they put on the lashes individually so it takes time.
Keep your eyes closed! It stings some if you do open them while you're getting them done. They are gluing the individual lashes on to your existing lashes, not your skin. It's better to keep them closed for a while even after she finishes... so the glue dries. If you do it more them once you'll get a sense of how much time to wait.
I had a hard time with the smell of the glue at first, but after going back a couple of times it wasn't a concern.
Take care of the extensions so they last longer. I follow the instructions on not wetting my eyes and I don't use mascara. I'm careful when I clean make-up off my eyelids. I use q-tips trying only to make contact with skin. I use eyeliner less frequently and if I do I use a thin marker (lately it's been: Milani Eye Tech Extreme Liquid Eye Liner Pen). Basically - I'm cautious about what may come into contact with my lashes. Mine lash extensions will usually last about 3 weeks, if I take care of them. It might vary from person-to-person. I have combination skin. It has never been too oily; my eyelids hold on to make-up pretty well.
It may seem pricey if your profession doesn't directly benefit from the look. (I have seen a couple of actresses come in to this location to get their lashes done; they go straight to the back so if you're only doing your nails you'd never know). I cut back on some things to help fund my desire to get lashes e.g. frequency of getting my eye brows waxed (embracing the Brooke Shields look). The price may not be for everyone, but I prefer having lashes over spending time and money doing my make-up & hair.
I'd say try it at least twice before you're against getting extensions (even for special occasions). I've read bad reviews at other places (where it cost more), so I'm very happy I found Tanya. As long as she can schedule me in, I will make the drive to see her.
I came in with my mom so she could get eyelash extensions before going on a trip. Her eyelashes came out okay, not the best I've seen but we didn't expect very much for the price. Eyelashes on one eye were longer than the other eye but she kind of fixed it. The lady was nice and we had some nice conversations.
The reason I give this place three stars is because while she was putting on the eyelashes, she kept talking to another lady that was standing at the doorway. It was so rude and annoying. I told the lady I wanted a pedicure with her just so she'd leave and would let Tanya work. I stayed in the room though and she never came back. Then other women would come and stand at the doorway and talk to her also. Some ladies handed her money for change and she made transactions right over my moms head. Then she didn't wash her hands after handling the money! That's never okay. I asked her to wash her hands and she did.
After all that is when she finally started talking to us instead of others. It took her a little over two hours because of how much she talked to everyone else. Like I said before, the eyelashes were okay. I don't think we'll be coming back here.
This place is GREAT. Their prices are fair, the service is quick and they accommodate any special designs you may want!
I always get something special/girly done with my gel manicure and every time I am EXTREMELY satisfied!
I don't have a preference on who works on my nails because they ALL do an excellent job!
I approached a complete stranger at LAX this year and asked her if those were her real eyelashes because they looked long but so natural, she laughed.
Thankfully she didn't take offense but told me she got her eyelash extensions done, by Tanya at Twin Nails.
If you want quality service for a reasonable price, then Tanya at Twin Nails is your girl !
I have been going there for a few months now, she takes her time to do your lashes and to make sure that the results are superb.
By the time she's finished, your lashes look so full and natural. I am always happy with the results.
Tanya is one of LA's best kept secrets! ;)
For great lashes you need to see Tanya at Lovely Lashes which is also located inside Twin Nails. She will meet your expectations and still go above and beyond what you expect. She is a true gem from all these other places that claim they can apply lashes. It's a true technique of a real artist how these lashes not only stay in place for a long period, but also look and feel super natural! You will be hooked to Tanya and her mastering of lash extensions! I promise she is the real deal, and you will keep going back for more!!
I am so happy to have found Lynn at Twin Nails! I started going to her sister Tanya for my lash extensions, which she too works at salon as well. Lynn made sure to fill my nails exactly to my expectations! She definitely knows nails and the art of making them look flawless and elegant! She is great at her job and meeting customers expectations!!
Pros: Tanya is the best when it comes to the eyelash extensions. She takes her time and her prices are reasonable.
If you're into acrylics Ashley is the best hands down. Yes acrylics. I always hear rude ass witches talking about how they go au natural because acrylics are so gross and unsanitary. To each his own I guess but I guess some haven't heard about using a brush to wash under your nails...even your real ones. Anyway back to the point....Ashley rocks. She takes her time and does not start talking crap in her language when you ask for a modification. She just does it...bam!
Lynn is great when it comes to doing your eyebrows while Ashley, Lily and Karen do great pedis.
Now on to the Cons: Although I appreciate the great work (heck...I'll drive from Encino to get my stuff done), the salon lacks organization. I understand that there are times when people (Tanya) will run behind. Shit happens. I'll wait...it's cool. BUT!! don't tell me you can't do something (i.e. eyebrow wax after extensions) because your next customer is waiting when you know this is the routine for me. If I can wait...she or he (hey it's echo park) can wait!
YES! talk about an UPGRADE!
Today i walked in and the place was busy for a Saturday afternoon, during the Silverlake farmer's market as per usj, but not enough to keep me waiting forever.
They've upgraded their look. Meaning new spa chairs, new front receptionist area, new sink area, new nail color wall. It's not remodeled, but I do have to say, the upgrades made it a pleasant visit today. I like Twin Nails! And i'll come for my eyebrow waxing and nail treatment. I haven't had their lash extension, but i always send my friends that way for that service as well. Good Job ladies!
Looking forward to my next mani/pedi! xx
